 Team DavidJ
Through YOUR commitment to help bring the homeless home, we can happily dwell on the opportunities that will now be available through this two year residency program for the first 20 families that will reside there. Through your goodness, sponsorships and pledges, YOU have offered them a chance at a successful life – a life out of poverty, a life full of dignity and self respect and so much more – all within a safe and nurturing environment. There really is no place like home!
The Hike for Hope is an annual event and remains the principal funding source for the Transitional Housing Project and the Life Skills Programs that will enable our families to succeed.
Your generous support has brought us this far!

WHY IS THIS YEAR’S WALK IMPORTANT?
This year's walk is significant – as we celebrate the end of construction and the opening of our doors. We will welcome 20 families - single parents and their children to their new home as part of our transitional housing project, Project Hope - Bringing the Homeless Home, a 20-unit apartment complex for single parents and their children.
So many dedicated people - sponsors, walkers and volunteers have come together for the past seven years to make this dream a reality. The Hike has come a long way since its founder, Dave McGillivray, envisioned it.
"This wonderful project is happening because you cared, you believed and you put your caring and belief into action!" - H. Bridget Shaheen, Lazarus House executive director. Thank you!
