The Hunger Strikers are committed to the restoration and continued restocking of the Lazarus House Food Pantry by running the 113th Boston Marathon® on April 20, 2009.
As part of the Official Charity Program of the Boston Marathon, each runner chosen will receive a waiver good for entry into the Boston Marathon as well as coaching and other benefits.
Qualified runners are also welcomed on our team and can participate in all official charity events and benefits.

Lawrence is one of the poorest cities in Massachusetts with 90% of school-age children living well below the poverty level. No child, woman or man living within our community should know the pain of hunger. Please, help us Strike Out Hunger Now!
Each month, Lazarus House provides services to over 8,000 people - compassion, hope, life's basic necessities and services for those who are poor and in need.
